Many employees choose to raise funds for a wide range of charities each year. Kleinwort Benson encourages this through the Volunteer Support Programme and donates £200 per person per annum as a contribution towards sponsored events and challenges. Staff sometimes choose to do this for a charity close to their hearts, some support The Anthony Nolan Trust, and some choose to support their local community.

For over ten years we have had links with a primary school in East London through the Reading Partners Scheme that the Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership operates. The pupils that employees from local companies work with benefit from additional one to one help with their reading or maths. A number of our London based employees enjoy spending one lunch hour a week at the primary school in Tower Hamlets working with children between the ages of eight to eleven.

In 2008 we celebrated our 45th Anniversary in the Channel Islands and a number of special events were held to raise money for charities. A team of 45 ladies from the Guernsey office took part in the Guernsey Race for Life, and 15 of the most daring Kleinwort Benson employees in the Channel Islands teamed together to for a sponsored tandem skydive. They raised a considerable sum for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We held two special events in the Islands in aid of The Anthony Nolan Trust and raised over £37,000 through an auction of promises at two Bootleg Beatles concerts enjoyed by clients and employees alike.
