We want interns to find out what it would be like working at Kleinwort Benson (KB).

We expect interns to go where there is a business need and complete real work.  You could be in; fixed income investment services, principal investment and advisory, private investment office and private wealth management or our management functions; compliance and risk, legal and company secretariat, marketing, information technology, finance and human resources.

These are held at least twice a year.   
You will hear more about KB and our top tips for finding an internship at KB or elsewhere. Interns who apply to us are automatically invited to our next intern event.  

Internship details

• Internships last from one to six months.
• They usually take place during the summer and occasionally during the year depending on business need.
• Internships of less than two months may be unpaid although we do reimburse reasonable travel expenses to and from the office.
• Almost all of our internships are in our London office.

Please note we do not have a graduate scheme although we do advertise entry level roles when available.

Internship entry criteria 

You must be over 18 at the start of any internship and:

• Have a proven academic track record.  
- GCSE Maths and English and 300 UCAS points at A Level (excluding General Studies).
• Be on the graduate track i.e. on a gap year, a graduate or undergraduate.  We expect a 2.1 degree.
- Applications from post graduate students will be considered.
• Have strong analytical, research, verbal and written communication skills.
• Be IT literate using all MS Office products especially Excel. 
• Have an interest in KB and financial services generally as well as have a demonstrable awareness of the financial markets.
• Be personable, resilient, hard working, prepared to be proactive and work as part of a team.
• Be eligible and able to work in the UK.
• Some internships may ask for additional, role specific skills.
