Infrastructure Engineer

Team and business overview

The Infrastructure Team provides management and support of the bank’s technical infrastructure. This includes email, internet, intranet, application databases, remote access, phones and security.

 

Role purpose 

To work within the Infrastructure Team to manage and support the broad range of the bank’s infrastructure technologies.
 

Key accountabilities 

• Deliver services in accordance with agreed SLAs

• Maintain the Bank’s IT infrastructure in accordance with best practice and the standards required by Information Security

• Work with and manage IT suppliers

• Contribute to CTS Service Delivery Team

• Contribute to CTS projects

• Meet requirements of regulators, government agencies, TCF and the legal environment.



Technical skills

• Very good analytical ability
• Technical experience of: Microsoft Server and network technologies, WMWare, Citrix, HP Server and SAN hardware etc.
• Very Good understanding of IT Security 
• Supplier management skills
• Good understanding of ITIL

Qualifications and industry experience

• A qualification in at least one of the core technologies that the Bank uses, e.g. Microsoft, VMWare Cisco, HP Storage.
• Experience of working within Financial Services industry would be an advantage.
