Mido 'locked in image rights dispute'
Footballer Mido believes that he is still owed image rights cash from his club, it has been claimed.
The Egyptian striker is still locked in dispute with Middlesbrough, the team he left in January for a six-month loan with Wigan Athletic, the News of the World reports.
Mido, 25, was signed by the Teesside team in 2007 in a £6 million transfer - but, like teammate Alfonso Alves, failed to show up to pre-season training earlier this month.
The two players were subsequently docked two weeks’ wages as a punishment by the team.
However, Mido reportedly believes that money is also owed the other way.
Speaking to the newspaper, an anonymous source commented: ’He will not go back [to Middlesbrough] after what has happened.’
Recent reports have suggested that Middlesbrough, relegated from the Premier League last season, are now looking to offload the player.
He has been linked with Sunderland, now home of ex-Wigan manager Steve Bruce, and Cairo team Zamalek.
