Could global private wealth management focus on India?

Global private wealth management may take into account Indian companies, after the London Stock Exchange Group has asked more firms from the Asian country to join its trading platform.

Xavier Rolet, chief executive officer of the group, said he hoped over the next few months and years, high-profile Indian companies will be welcomed into the exchange’s market.

His comment came after Essar Energy, a leading private sector gas and oil organisation from India, has been accepted to the exchange’s Main Market.

This means the firm is the largest Indian initial public offering (IPO) in London and the second-largest Indian IPO on a public market across the globe.

Mr Rolet said: ’The capital markets and sectoral expertise available in London are a perfect match for ambitious Indian companies looking to expand globally.’

As such, global private wealth management companies may take a fresh look at the Asian financial markets and organisations.

The London Stock Exchange has approximately 3,000 firms in more than 70 countries trading on its markets.ADNFCR-2318-ID-19766999-ADNFCR
