Kleinwort Benson, the provider of banking and financial services to corporate and private clients in the UK and Channel Islands, is pleased to announce the opening of its Manchester office. The office will enable Kleinwort Benson to provide local services to private and corporate clients by professionals who understand the local market. A launch event to celebrate the opening, including a performance from singer Jacqui Dankworth, will be held at the Lowry Hotel on 15 March 2007.
The opening of regional offices is a further development in a strategic review undertaken by Kleinwort Benson in 2006, resulting in a redefinition of the business into two distinct lines - private wealth management and corporate fiduciary and intermediaries - to better serve the different needs of private and corporate clients.
Kleinwort Benson’s regional office openings build on its long-established history of providing wealth management solutions to high net worth individuals, executives and entrepreneurs in the UK. The Manchester office will provide an extensive offering to local individuals, ranging from banking, fiduciary services and investment management advice to enterprising initiatives, including tax-efficient structured products, SIPPs and absolute return investments. The aim is to assist in creating a bespoke wealth management solution.
On the corporate side, Kleinwort Benson provides tailor-made corporate structures, online banking and investment solutions to intermediaries, institutions and corporate clients.
The Manchester office is located in Peter House, Oxford Street, and was staffed initially by a corporate financial services executive, Simon Gordon, and private bankers Anne Taylor, Andrew Holland and Nicholas Stanmore. More recently, James Stevenson has joined and brings extensive experience in the wealth management business in Manchester.
Robert Taylor, CEO of Kleinwort Benson, said: "Kleinwort Benson is delighted to be returning to the North West. The Benson family business originated in the area in the 18th century and our return marks a period of exciting growth for Kleinwort Benson".
