Kleinwort Benson has created a Product Advisory team headed by Natalie Merrens.
The Product Advisory team will be responsible for the product development process, the private client strategic advisory framework and the training of private bankers and clients across all asset classes and product areas.
Ms Merrens joins Kleinwort Benson from UBS Wealth Management, where she spent six years as an Investment Consultant. Ms Merrens was instrumental in creating a consulting service to enable private bankers and their clients to receive cross-product and strategic investment advice.
Ms Merrens is joined by Senior Tax Adviser Jeremy Croysdill and Robbie Meakin, formerly a colleague at UBS. Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson in 2005, Mr Croysdill spent 20 years in tax consulting with Ernst & Young, BDO Stoy Hayward and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The team is in the process of recruiting two additional team members to complement the existing skills base.
Robert Taylor, CEO of Kleinwort Benson, said: "These senior appointments are testimony to our commitment to excellence in our client offering. The Product Advisory team plays a crucial role in designing the optimum strategic investment framework for clients within a carefully considered risk management process."
Ms Merrens reports directly to Guy McGlashan, Head of Private Wealth Management Services.
