Kleinwort Benson, Best Private Bank 2008 as voted for by readers of the FT and Investors Chronicle, is pleased to announce the latest stage in its regional development programme with the establishment of its Leeds office.
The new office will provide wealth management solutions to high net worth individuals, executives and entrepreneurs across the North East of England.

’s development of a regional network reflects the changing pattern of wealth distribution in the UKand caters to the increasing market for wealth management in the regions. Over the past twelve months, Kleinwort Benson has established offices in Birmingham , Manchester, Newbury and Cambridge. The Leeds office will provide an extensive offering to local individuals, ranging from banking, fiduciary services and investment management advice to enterprising initiatives, including tax-efficient structured products, pensions advice and absolute return investments.
The Leeds office is located at No 1 City Square and headed by Carl Ward. Mr Ward joined Kleinwort Benson in October 2007 as Head of Leeds, Private Wealth Management, having worked previously for Chase de Vere Private Clients and Robson Rhodes Chartered Accountants. As an Associate of the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Financial Planner by examination, he has advanced papers in all aspects of financial planning including Taxation and Trusts, Personal Financial Planning, Pension Planning and Portfolio Management.
The office will also be staffed by lead bankers David Archer and Jonathan Marsden. Mr Archer has over 19 years experience in the Financial Services industry advising UK-based private clients, their families and charities in the management of their financial affairs. He started his career with the Standard Life Assurance Company as a broker consultant before becoming an Independent Financial Consultant in 1990. Mr Marsden joined Kleinwort Benson in October 2007 from Chase de Vere Private Clients. He advises clients on all areas of wealth management including Financial Planning, Investment Management, Banking and Finance.
