Socially-responsible investment high in UK?

Socially-responsible investment in the UK may be relatively high, as it is revealed the country is the eighth-best in the world in terms of donating money to charity.

Many individuals with private wealth dispense some of it to help people less fortunate than themselves by giving cash to not-for-profit organisations.

And socially-responsible investment is another way of supporting others, as it can provide valuable resources for ethical, green or community projects that might normally have difficulty in raising funding.

The Charities Aid Foundation reveals 73 per cent of Britons have donated money and 29 per cent have given time to assist third-sector style operations.

Most generous in the world was found to be Australia, where seven-out-of-ten people have provided cash for a good cause, while a significant 38 per cent have offered time for the same reason.

Those interested in socially-responsible investment now have over 100 ethical funds to choose from in the UK and the number continues to grow.ADNFCR-2318-ID-800060158-ADNFCR
