Corporate banks optimistic as 'recruitment heavy in 2010?'

Corporate banks may be positive about the future of the sector, as one expert observes financial service providers have been recruiting "very heavily" over the past year.

David Fleming, associate director at professional connections agency Badenoch and Clark, suggests corporate banks were "behind the curve" when it came to delivering growth, but argues this has been redressed and less staff will be taken on during the final quarter of 2010.

This suggests corporate banks are hopeful trade will be good going into 2011, with steps being taken to meet demand for banking services and consolidate and expand commercial reach.

On Friday (October 8th), Ambition revealed City job availability us up 260 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2009, indicating financial and trading institutions are confident of future business prospects.

The level of employment available in banking and financial services jobs is now on a par with 2007 levels, the study showed.  ADNFCR-2318-ID-800108809-ADNFCR
