Britons with private wealth 'should consider making a will'

Individuals with private wealth may be those most in need of a will, as one expert advises: "The best time to consider it is as soon as you have something to leave."

For those with personal means, this indicates drawing up a testament as soon as possible is best, rather than waiting until later life, as many people are wont to do.

Will-writing is often considered the preserve of the elderly, but those with private wealth are likely to have a considerable estate much earlier, at an age when many would normally not consider how they would like their affairs handled after they pass away.

Paul Sharp, chairman of the Institute of Professional Willwriters, reveals: "I'm of the view that it's more important for younger people to make wills than older people."

Wealth management may also be supported through drawing up the legal document, as provisions such as trust will can reduce the burden of inheritance tax and ensure family and loved ones benefit as much as possible from an individual's private wealthADNFCR-2318-ID-800217094-ADNFCR
