London property "prime performer" for wealth management?

Wealth management specialists may look to high-end London property, as one expert claims the sector "has long been a prime performer in a balanced investment portfolio".

Hugh Best, head of investment management at London Central Portfolio, argues "strong demand" is evident in the market for residential property in the capital, suggesting: "Any reduction in demand will be temporary."

And foreign investors with private means may also begin to see the advantages of wealth management through real estate acquisition, as the commentator notes Chinese nationals are increasingly choosing the option.

Individuals with private wealth may be a pillar of the market, as Marsh and Parsons recently reported 71 per cent of buyers in central London in August used cash to complete their purchase, displaying no concern for stricter credit conditions.

Additionally, Mr Best claims rising rental demand and interest in property as a "hedge" against inflation will support the sector in the near and medium term.  ADNFCR-2318-ID-800230226-ADNFCR
