Kleinwort Benson appoints Stephen Rothwell as Head of Wealth Management
Kleinwort Benson has appointed Stephen Rothwell as Head of Wealth Management. He joins from Schroders Private Banking, where he was Head of Business Development.
Stephen has a track record of success in the private banking sector. He has been involved in all areas of private banking at a senior level, including developing strong relationships with professional firms in the UK, the Channel Islands and Switzerland. Before joining Schroders, Stephen was responsible for UK private client business development at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

Kleinwort Benson appoints new Chief Operating Officer and new Chief Technology Officer
25 October 2011: Kleinwort Benson has appointed Danny Vogt as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and John Boyce as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Danny Vogt joined Kleinwort Benson on 24 October from RBS/ABN Amro, London, where he was Head of Change and Portfolio Development Group Operations. He has more than 20 years experience in the financial services sector, having successfully led numerous complex large-scale business and IT change programmes.

New Chief Investment Officer for Kleinwort Benson
Kleinwort Benson has appointed Mouhammed Choukeir as Chief Investment Officer.
Mouhammed Choukeir joins from Morgan Stanley where he was Head of Multi-Asset Class investing in the wealth management division. In this role, he and his team were responsible for managing portfolios for clients in Europe, Middle East and Asia including individuals, endowments, charities and family offices.

Kleinwort Benson completes the acquisition of Close Offshore Group
The acquisition, which was announced in March, is for a cash consideration of £26.4 million, subject to post closing adjustments, and comprises COG’s private banking, fund administration, fund management, trust and asset management businesses across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. It also includes COG’s shared service centre in Cape Town.
