GORDON SCOTT

Gordon has worked in wealth management for over 17 years and offers a great deal of experience in advising UK based private clients, their families and charities in the management of their financial affairs.
 
Gordon joined Kleinwort Benson in December 2008 having spent 10 years as an instrumental figure in the development of Standard Life Client Management, the advisory arm of the Standard Life Group of Companies.
 
As a Chartered Financial Planner Gordon holds advanced papers in all aspects of financial planning including Taxation, Trusts, Personal and Corporate Financial Planning, Investments and all aspects of Pensions. Gordon’s primary focus is however at all times the individual needs and circumstances of each client. Qualifications include MCIBS, APFS

CHRIS ARBUTHNOTT

Chris joined Kleinwort Benson in Edinburgh in May 2009 as a Private Banker. After nearly ten years in the City, latterly with Arbuthnot Latham Private Bankers, he decided to return to his Scottish roots.

Chris’ clients are predominantly entrepreneurs but come from all walks of life. He has a broad experience in dealing with the financial affairs of UK-based private clients, their families and charities. As no two clients have the same requirements, Chris’ approach is to build an understanding of his clients’ needs, bringing in experts where necessary to support them in reaching their financial goals.

Chris graduated from Durham University with a First Class honours degree in Russian and German. He holds the Certificate in Financial Planning and Certificate in Mortgage Advice from the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Certificate in Investments (Securities) from the Securities and Investment Institute. He is an associate member of the SII.

Chris is married with two young children. Outside of work, his other interests include horseracing, cricket, shooting, football and rural affairs.

MARY BLACK KERR

Mary provides full administrative support to the Edinburgh team.

Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson in January 2009, Mary worked in PA, Secretary and Administrator roles. She has experience in working in - General Insurance, Accountants, Road Haulage, Loss Adjusters and Independent Financial offices.

Amongst her qualifications Mary holds a HND in Information and Office Management.
