Meet the Team

CARL WARD

Carl joined Kleinwort Benson in October 2007 as Head of Leeds, Private Wealth Management, having worked previously for Chase de Vere Private Clients and Robson Rhodes Chartered Accountants. 

He advises UK based private clients, their families and charities in the management of their financial affairs, focusing on clients in Yorkshire and the North East.

As an Associate of the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Financial Planner by examination, Carl has advanced papers in all aspects of financial planning including Taxation and Trusts, Personal Financial Planning, Pension Planning and Portfolio Management.

DAVID ARCHER

David has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 19 years and offers an enviable wealth of experience advising UK-based private clients, their families and charities in the management of their financial affairs.

Based in the Leeds office of Kleinwort Benson who he joined in September 2007.David commenced his career with the Standard Life Assurance Company as a broker consultant before moving on to become an Independent Financial Consultant in 1990.

David has run his own company before working with leading Financial Institutions, where he has headed the Pensions Department and latterly a Director and Board member of the Financial Services company for a top 15 Accountancy firm.

His experience and qualifications within the industry has enabled David to deal personally with both personal and corporate clients and be respected as a valuable premier within the industry.

JONATHAN MARSDEN

Jonathan advises on all areas of wealth management including Financial Planning, Investment Management, Banking and Finance.

Having previously worked for Chase de Vere Private Clients he joined Kleinwort Benson in October 2007 to establish a new office in Leeds.

Jonathan has a great deal of experience dealing with the financial matters that impact on the lives of all of our clients and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

ARLENE NORMINGTON

Arlene provides full administrative support to the private bankers based in Kleinwort Benson’s Leeds office and is the link between the advice given to the client and its implementation by Kleinwort Benson. 

Arlene has previously worked for life offices including Britannia Life, Prudential and GE Life and a number of IFAs including Kingsbridge and AWD Chase de Vere. 

Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson in January 2008, Arlene was Operations Team Manager at the Leeds office of AWD Chase de Vere. She also holds the Financial Planning Certificate and Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Planning.
