Internships and Work Experience placements

For students who want to learn more about financial services and get hands-on experience before committing to a career path, placements at Kleinwort Benson are an ideal learning opportunity for you.
An internship is a short term or part-time period of work experience that offers you education, experience and connections for the future. Internships at Kleinwort Benson can be taken during the academic year, Easter vacation or summer months in which you receive supervised practical training in specific roles. Internships may be offered in any department of the organisation. We do not have a set number of vacancies and availability of positions will depend on business needs. Internships at Kleinwort Benson are generally unpaid (except for expenses) but having meaningful work experience can greatly increase your employment prospects.
The maximum length of an internship that may be offered to you depends on your level of education.
- School age 14 – 16 may be offered a maximum duration of 1 week.
- College age 16 – 18 may be offered a maximum duration of 2 weeks.
- University undergraduates may be offered a maximum duration of 6 – 12 weeks.
- University postgraduates may be offered a maximum duration of 6 – 12 weeks.

Education Requirements (for undergraduates)
- A 2nd class honours degree predicted or held
- 240 UCAs points (or equivalent)
- A minimum C grade in Math’s and English at GCSE (or equivalent)
