Andrew joined Kleinwort Benson in 2015 as a Private Banker and is responsible for providing integrated bespoke solutions to UK-domiciled and non-domiciled high net worth individuals, families, trusts and charities.
Before joining Kleinwort Benson, Andrew worked for seven years as a private banker at Royal Bank of Canada and Barclays Wealth, where he looked after high net worth individuals in the Sports, Media & Entertainment sector. His areas of expertise include investment management, wealth structuring and lending across residential property and investment portfolios. Prior to that Andrew spent three years working in the sports marketing industry.
Andrew holds a BA (Hons) in International Business Management from the University of Newcastle and professional qualifications in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and the Certificate of Mortgage Advice & Practice. He is also is a member of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Outside of work Andrew enjoys playing cricket, golf, and spending time with his wife and baby daughter. He also sits on the committee at Wimbledon Cricket Club.

Andrew joined Kleinwort Benson as Executive Director, Business Development in July 2012.
He is responsible for growing Kleinwort Benson’s relationships with professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, drawing on his experience in dealing with professional firms in the UK as well as in offshore markets.
Previously, Andrew was a Partner at Absolute Fund Managers LLP, where he managed the business of their private client-focused hedge fund range. Prior to this he was Vice President at Deutsche Bank Private Banking in London, before moving to Unigestion where he was instrumental in the growth and development of the Family Investment Office. Andrew has also spent a number of years advising high net worth clients in Jersey, primarily at Dexia Private Bank.
Andrew read Business Studies at the University of the South Bank, London and holds the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment - Investment Advice Diploma.

Since arriving at Kleinwort Benson in 1994, Ben has advised private clients, trusts and charities with a wide variety of requirements on all aspects of their investment management and wealth management needs.
Ben has over 10 years’ experience of managing investment portfolios and in prior years has provided significant input into Kleinwort Benson’s investment process with responsibility for analysing medium sized companies across all industry sectors.
Ben leads a team of private bankers who are responsible for providing the full range of Kleinwort Benson’s services to their clients.
Ben is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and has served on this institution’s examination committee.
Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, Ben served a Commissioned Officer in the British Army with the Corps of Royal Engineers after which he qualified as Solicitor with Barlow Lyde & Gilbert in the City.

Catherine joined Kleinwort Benson from Coutts and Co. having gained twenty years’ experience in the financial services market, the last fifteen of which have been focused in the Private Wealth Client arena. Catherine specialises in delivering a high quality client experience across all aspects of banking. She has developed a keen interest and knowledge in the areas of family business, philanthropy, business entrepreneurs and professional client bases, and is instrumental in organising networking opportunities for the Bank and its clients, while supporting our Private Bankers in all aspects of their role.

Daniel helps advise wealthy clients and their families on all aspects of their financial situation. His specialism is in dealing with entrepreneurs both on their journey towards exit and after it. Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, he worked with a boutique hedge fund.
Daniel is a member of Tech London Advocates, a private sector pressure group established to promote London as a centre for worldwide technology excellence.
Daniel holds the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment’s Investment Advice Diploma in addition to his Mathematics degree from the University of York.

David joined Kleinwort Benson as an Executive Private Banker in May 2013. Based in London, he focuses on non-UK resident and non UK domiciled clients from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Jordan.
David joined Kleinwort Benson from Coutts & Co where he spent 12 years as a Director in the Middle East Team. Prior to Coutts he worked for ABN Amro in Dubai where he spent three years covering Dubai, Oman and Pakistan. Before joining ABN Amro, David was based in London with ANZ Investment Bank where he worked in emerging market fixed income sales.
David is a Chartered Wealth Manager and he also holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and the Investment Management Certificate.

He joined the Kleinwort Benson group in 1987 on graduating from Cambridge University.
He worked as an investment banker in the Corporate Advisory business from 1987 to 2001. In that capacity, he worked initially as a member of the team advising HM Government on the privatisation of the electricity industry in England and Wales. Edward was posted to the Far East from 1991 to 1998, where he worked out of offices in Japan, China and Indonesia. On returning to the UK, he advised UK companies on equity capital market transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2001, Edward joined the Private Bank where his clients include a mix of City professionals and entrepreneurs. He has experience of advising private clients on Kleinwort Benson’s full range of wealth management solutions, including investment management, tax, trusts and pensions.

Glenn builds relationships within the community of professional advisers, including with lawyers, accountants and trustees. Glenn is also responsible for developing our communications with clients and their professional advisers. One area of his expertise is writing investment proposals for multi-generational families, entrepreneurs, senior executives and charities.
Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson in 2012, Glenn worked for five years in business development at Schroders Private Banking (now merged with Cazenove Capital Management). He has worked previously as a university lecturer, teaching undergraduates English Literature. He holds a BA in English, an MA in Reading Postmodernity and a PhD in English Literature from the University of Leicester.

John embarked on his banking career in 1966 at Midland Bank in Birmingham. He was moved South to Welwyn Garden City for his first managerial appointment in 1972 where he headed up the branch’s lending and security team. He moved to Midland Bank’s head office in the City of London in 1979 where he undertook numerous roles within the commercial lending arena, latterly managing a number of FTSE 100 companies. He joined HSBC’s Private Banking operation (then known as Samuel Montagu Private Bank) when Midland Bank was acquired by HSBC in 1995.
John joined KB in January 2014 as a Managing Director where he heads up our lending business having spent his whole career before that with just one employer.
He is a member of the Associate of the Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP).

Jordana joined Kleinwort Benson in June 2014. With a background in portfolio management, Jordana specialises in relationship management of international and UK resident non-domiciled private clients.
Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, Jordana worked at Gulland Padfield, a boutique management consultancy company focusing on private banking and wealth management. Previously, she worked at Ascot Wealth Management where she gained exposure in trusts and estate planning. She also has experience in equities trading, having successfully managed a portfolio of illiquid US-listed stocks.
Jordana graduated with a MSc in Law and Accounting from the London School of Economics. She also holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance & Trade, graduating both with Distinction and ranked top of her class.

Joss joined Kleinwort Benson in 2014 from Citi Private Bank where he headed up Citi's Ultra High Net Worth Business Development team in the UK. Prior to joining Citi in 2010, Joss was Regional Head of HSBC Private Bank in Scotland where he looked after some of their largest client relationships as Senior Private Banker. Prior to joining HSBC in 2002, Joss was a global equity portfolio manager at Deutsche Private Bank and Credit Suisse Private Banking. Joss started his career in wealth management in 1987 with Mercury Asset Management.

Katie joined Kleinwort Benson in 2008 as a Private Banker from Barclays, where she spent the previous eight years. Most recently Katie worked as a Private Banker in the Barclays Wealth division, looking after a portfolio of high net worth clients. Katie’s previous roles at Barclays include working as an FX dealer for the Corporate Treasury team and working in their New York Corporate Banking office.
Katie holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), the Securities and Financial Derivatives Certificate, the Certificate of Financial Advisors (CeFA), the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and the Certificate of Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM).
Katie graduated from the University of Manchester, having spent the third year of her degree course at Wellesley College, Massachusetts.

Leigh heads the team responsible for bringing Private Banking solutions to advisers and their clients. With a background in investment management and financial advice, Leigh joined Kleinwort Benson in 2006 and is the founder of the DFM business at the Bank. Leigh has considerable expertise in all wealth matters including long-term planning and risk management.
As well as his client responsibilities, Leigh is a senior manager in the business and has won a number of industry awards, including being voted one of PAM’s Top 40 under 40 in 2013. In 2012, Leigh was recognised as one of London’s leading lights in Private Client management by Citywire. Leigh is also a graduate of the 2009/10 Kleinwort Benson leadership development programme, run in association with CASS Business School.
Leigh is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charter holder and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Leigh is a holder of the Securities Institute Diploma and also holds a wide range of financial planning qualifications. Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, Leigh worked for Ely Fund Managers (now part of Rathbones) and Killik & Co, the advisory stockbrokers.

Malcolm is a Client Director responsible for advising individuals and charities on investment strategy, tax-efficient structures, and governance. Malcolm’s experience spans partnership of stockbrokers Montagu Loebl Stanley, acquired by Flemings in 1986, when he became Director responsible for UK, international and charity clients. Following the takeover of Flemings by JP Morgan Private Bank, in 2002 Malcolm moved to Rothschild Private Wealth Management as Managing Director.
Malcolm joined Kleinwort Benson in 2012 as a Managing Director in the Wealth Management division. Malcolm was a judge for the STEP Private Client Awards 2014/15 and also shortlisted by Citywealth as Private Banker of the year in 2014. He was named MD of the year by Wealth & Finance International in 2016.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, and a former member of the Stock Exchange Taxation Examination Committee. In the early 1990s, he was instrumental in the creation of ‘private’ unit trusts and OEICs. Malcolm is Renter Warden of the Worshipful Company of Barbers, and chairs their investment committee. He is a trustee of the University of London, the Household Cavalry Museum, a Governor of the Voluntary Hospital of St. Bartholomew and a member of the investment committee of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Malcolm was formerly Chairman of The Special Trustees of Moorfields Eye Hospital, and a council member of the Association of NHS Charities.

Melissa is an Executive Director in the London office having joined Kleinwort Benson in 2006 from Credit Suisse. Melissa spent twelve years at Credit Suisse, both on and offshore working as a portfolio manager and as Deputy Head of the Offshore Advisory desk. Prior to this she worked in fund management for Barings. Melissa is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, she also holds the Diploma in Financial Services, IMC, CeFA and CeMAP.
In addition to her day job Melissa is an exam panel member for the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Michael is an Executive Director of Kleinwort Benson’s Private Investment Office. Michael manages a wide range of private client, charity and trust portfolios, and is actively involved in the structuring of portfolios with a focus on risk and volatility management.
In 2008 he opened the Kleinwort Benson Cambridge office with the mandate to grow and expand the Kleinwort Benson franchise in the East of England.
Michael has a bachelors degree in European Studies, specialising in German, Politics and Economics from the University of Manchester. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Paul has guided numerous entrepreneurs and business owners through the sale of their businesses and helped them plan the next phase of their lives.
He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing the advice and direction which enables individuals to meet their new financial goals. The steps to achieving this involves securing the cash proceeds, timely disposal of vested stock, establishing tax efficient vehicles and the maintenance of a regular and consistent income to replace salary.
Paul joined Kleinwort Benson over ten years ago from Mercer, a global consulting firm, where he provided wealth management advice to senior executives of the UK’s largest companies. Paul is an Executive Director within the Private Wealth Management division.
Paul has gained numerous financial qualifications up to and including degree level and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Paul Kearney is a Managing Director of Kleinwort Benson and Head of Private Banking. Prior to joining the bank in April 2011, Paul was a founder and managing partner of Karrig Strategic Capital, a family office established for a European technology entrepreneur. Together with his team and clients Paul joined Kleinwort Benson to establish the Private Investment Office.
Paul has a 25-year career in finance, initially qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen, where he specialised in the taxation of international transactions and structured investment products. He subsequently joined the start up investment banking and capital markets business of the Zurich Financial Services group, Zurich Capital Markets, where he became Chief Executive Offcer of the European activities of the group and global co-head of the structured finance activities. Paul was instrumental in building the business over five years to over 400 people in seven offices with a USD 15 billion asset base.
Paul has particular expertise in delivering solutions to enable the management and control of substantial investment portfolios, including structuring international asset holding and acquisition structures. He holds an honours degree in Economics and is a board member and trustee of The Opera Group, an award-winning, nationally and internationally renowned opera company, specialising in commissioning and producing new operas.

Richard Stanwell has worked in Wealth Management for over 18 years and offers a wealth of experience advising individuals, charities, trusts and pension funds in the management of their financial affairs. He is Head of UK Teams and divides his time between Newbury and London. Richard joined Kleinwort Benson in January 2010 from Barclays Wealth where he was a Senior Private Banker.
Richard graduated with a BA Hons in Ancient History, he started his career in the Lloyds Insurance market before working as a stockbroker and Investment Manager, at Killik & Co and then Gerrard Investment Management, where he specialised in managing Ethical Investments. Richard also holds the Advanced Financial Planning certificate, including Taxation, trusts and Personal Investment planning.

Stephen is an Executive Private Banker within the Private Wealth Management team in London, having joined in August 2011.
He has 19 years’ experience in Private Banking and portfolio management. Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, he was a Client Director at Schroders Private Bank where he advised and managed a diversified portfolio of clients on all aspects of their banking relationship. From 2000 to 2004, Stephen was a fund manager at JPMorgan Private Bank, where he managed a retail fixed interest fund and a number of large private unit trusts, on behalf of clients of the bank.
He holds the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Valentina joined Kleinwort Benson as Head of PWM International in September 2012.
She is responsible for leading a team focused on developing Kleinwort Benson’s international and UK resident non-domiciled client base, specialised in serving the needs of highly complex, multi-jurisdictional individuals, families and institutions with global interests.
Previously, Valentina spent seven years with Clariden Leu in London, where she was Head of the UK Resident Non-Domiciled team. She led a team of 14 with a global client base and was instrumental in the growth of Clariden Leu’s London branch. Valentina joined Clariden Leu in December 2005 from Schroders Private Bank where she spent 11 years, becoming a Director of the International Team in 2003.
Valentina has a first class honours degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, she is also a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager (MCSI), a Member of the CFA Institute and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
